Pureology was developed in Irvine, California in 2001 when Jim Markham broke new ground in the industry. With Pureology he revolutionized the care colored hair and launched the first hundred percent vegan formulations and ZeroSulfate shampoos for color-treated hair.
Jim had discovered a need among hair color specialists and their clients of low-impact, nature-inspired products that provide superior results in terms of maintaining long hair color, the inspiration developed Pureology. Today Pureology is the primary brand in the care of colored hair in the U.S. Pureology's high performance products quickly became industry standards in USA.
Pureology sold only to professional and selected salons and online stores.
